About: The Certified Expert in Islamic Microfinance is a 6 month part time e-learning course developed by Frankfurt School's Sustainable World Academy. Depending on your previous knowledge you should expect to spend a total of approximately 75 hours (3 – 5 hours a week) of work during the course run. To earn this certificate, participant has to complete two assignments and also pass the final exam.

Unit 3: The Microfinance Contracts & Transaction Agreements (Part 2)
Unit 4: Managing Islamic Microfinancing
Unit 5: Risk Management in Islamic Microfinance Institutions
Unit 6: Regulatory, Governance and Sharia Compliance Framework for Islamic Microfinance
Unit 7: Financial and Social Performance Management

General Requirements for Registration

  1. Active employment at a financial institution (Bank, MFI, or Central Bank); HR letter required.

  2. English fluency; document proving at least intermediate proficiency required.

  3. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required.

  4. Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) required.

  5. Only one certification application allowed at a time.
